In May, Leshan Song & Dance Troupe received invitation for this grand occasion. July 1, the 43 person delegation started their trip to Canada. At the opening ceremony of July 7, Leshan is the first perform. 27 young artists, wearing rich colored Sichuan ethnic folk costumes, performed Tibetan dance and the famous Sichuan Opera—Change of faces during the first 7 minutes and brought out the first climax of the evening.

? The Le Mondial des Cultures de Drummondville is highly recognized in northern America and every year it attracts about 300,000 visitors. The festival aims at the sharing and integration of different cultures and arts. It will last for 10 days and during the time, Leshan Song & Dance Troupe will perform several times every day, present the audience a variety of the Chinese folk and ethnic cultures and arts.
